Business Leadership South Africa Chief Operating Officer, Busisiwe Mavuso said the Public Protector Busisiwe Mkhwebane has failed the test of maintaining a high and ethical standing.
Speaking on Madam Speaker on ENCA on Thursday night Mavuso said Mkhwebane has eroded the public trust in her ability to act in a fair and impartial manner.
This comes as Mkhwebane is under attack for her work and in particular the battle between her and the public enterprises minister Pravin Gordhan after she found Gordhan guilty of improper conduct regarding an early retirement payout to former Sars commissioner Ivan Pillay.
A high court in Pretoria has recently set aside her report on the Gupta-linked Vrede dairy farm project and declared it unconstitutional and invalid.
