Making an impact in the lives of those less fortunate through social development is at the heart of what makes the Johannesburg Stock Exchange tick. Its contribution to initiatives that drive education, protect the environment and health is how it’s making a difference. One of these initiatives is the Alexandra Education Committee, a secondary school bursary scheme and support programme for children in and around Alexandra township. It focuses on providing quality education as a means of enriching the children’s lives and helping them build a better future. Here Alexandra Education Committee beneficiary, Dumisani Mbatha, shares his inspirational story.
